A note about my Social Craft Club I have called Stitch 'N' Chat, I believe it was successful. A total of 6 women attended today, all crafters. 2 are quilters and are interested in the evening session so far. For a first day it was a success. As each week passes I am sure that if all who are in attendance are having fun, more will come, after all as the sooth Sayers are wont to say, "Rome was not built in a day"!!! To Joyce, Johanna, Liz, Carol and Penny a heartfelt thank you and it was so nice meeting you and spending those few hours just talking about the crafts we love and any other topic which cropped up. Ohhhhhhhhhh I cannot wait to get started on this Blog Hop, I intend on meeting many more Bloggers than I did on the last Hop....FUN this is what it is all about, having FUN and meeting NEW PEOPLE making new connections and being inspired by their skills and talents. ReplyDeleteI can't really say that St. Patrick's Day is luckier than any other, in particular, for me.. but in general, I am so very lucky!! I have a wonderful family, friends, a beautiful home to live in, pets that bring me joy, plenty of food to eat and clothes to wear.. yeah, I think I am a very lucky girl! :-) Looking forward to a happy day today! :-) I think I hear hubby stirring around-- gonna go pinch him - he's not wearing green! ;-) Thank you for the chance to win one of you wonderful prizes!!!

ReplyDeleteThe most significant thing about St. Patricks day for me is the Blog Hop Party - this is my 2nd year since I discovered blogs and I am hopping that not being Irish or having no luck of the Irish won't totally eliminate me from the winners circle.

I used to always feel so lucky growing up because I'd set up leprechaun traps, and although I never caught a leprechaun, they were always tripped and those pesky fellows left glitter and chocolate coins EVERYWHERE!

At one point there were 8 under 11 with 2 2years olds and a 4 month old. And I the only adult. Thankfully we all survived, mostly unscathed. That's a lot of loot you are giving away. Thanks.

This year's St. Patrick's Day was very lucky for me - I had finished my shamrock tablerunner on the 10th and so was not rushing to get it done, and my wonderful husband made corned beef, red potatoes, and baby carrots for our family, and the meal was delicious!

I know the best St. Patrick's Day I had, yes, the luckiest, was the first one with my husband, the first year we were married. ReplyDeleteI haven't had special St. Patrick's day luck - in fact, I was supposed to be born on Mar. 17th, but was 3.5 weeks overdue and didn't come until April 11th, lol. But I did win an iPad 2 last spring right around my birthday. That was an amazing and happy surprise!

Thank you for sharing about your new group. It's always interesting to see the early dynamics of a group and how it changes. Our St Patrick's day was a bit uneventful. The only really big difference is that here in Maryland it was WAY too hot for the green turtlenecks. My 4 yr old son was thrilled to wear green SHORTS in MARCH!! Good bye elderly man winter!
